Class Descriptions


Joseph Pilates believed that his conditioning system would help develop an efficient and uniformly developed body that moved without any extra strain or tension. This system will lead you to a graceful sense of your body that comes from an engaged core, a fluid spine, and an expressive carriage of the body and limbs. This is a flowing Pilates class shaped by needs of the students while staying true to the intent  of the Pilates Method.


Pilates Mat focuses on primarily using your own body weight as resistance throughout the workout.  Smaller pieces of equipment, such as the Pilates (Magic) circle, the band, and weights are used to enhance the learning experience.
